Cool Competitor Memberships - Important?

So I'm visiting the TermPro.Com website to find Competitor Memberships ...
I'm just curious,
  • Would you say they are important or not?
  • Are they funding something significant or just putting $$$ into someone's personal pocket?
  • Would you say that you appreciated having a "Career" stat that you now look back on and appreciate that you were an active member, years and years prior?
  • Is it something realistic to have for even the most casual competitor?

Just wanted some feedback from the one's that know best.

i would say that if you plan to attend finals then you have to have one.
with a stat page, allows you to post pics and vids, shows your entire db drag history and its nice to think back and say you were part of it all, and be able to look at all the shows you were at and what place you took etc. and its pretty cheap too!

so really its up to you,

I think this thread already proves why you need a membership.
So you can become "Big" or "Sexy" ... great, just great.

outa your pocket is you buy one! if db drag were non-profit, it simply wouldnt exist. its a business that needs income to survive just like any business, except this business supports our hobby! If your goal is finals, its not a huge price to pay, infact its cheaper than iasca's $75 membership(shipping incl.)

If you aren't interested in finals then it's not really important.

They are funding dbDRA finals and putting money in to Wayne Harris' pockets.

So long as you write your name consistently on registration sheets your information will be put on the site regardless of whether or not you purchase a membership. (I had a stats page for a few years before I became a member)

If you are the "most casual member" then I wouldn't bother. Sure, it's nice to be able to add pics to your stats page but is that really worth $50 to you?
