component speaker crossover installation

I have a 05 Chevy Colorado LS Crew cab, there are stock components in the front doors. I am wondering if there is already a crossover in there that i can switch with the new one, or do i have to find a spot that it will fit?

No stock crossover. The tweeter may have a tiny cap attached to it.

there should be some room on the back side of the door panel. Or on the inside of the door.

i would always suggest to run new wires into your door and to your tweeter and mount the x-over inside the vehicle, doors are not very sealed so there can be a lot of moisture in there. you wouldn't believe the amount of beat up x-overs i have ripped out through the years,

yea, thanks for the info, greatly appreciated, i have put the crossover inside the doorpanel compartment, and have run new stinger wires from the crossover. To the crossover are the stock wires, but gunna upgrade to stinger after I install an amp. Now I am looking for a headunit, right now the top choice is the Alpine INA-W900BT.

Save up a bit more money and get a Ina-w910, its a way better deck for the couple hundred it cost to upgrade
