About 3 months ago, I noticed that my battery had alot of corrosion on the negative terminal. I thought that it was a symptom of old age. I replaced the battery with an Optima since the old battery was at the end of its life (wouldn't start in cold weather). The car starts with no problems but I noticed that the corrosion has returned to te negative terminal.

Any ideas? Could it be a bad ground?

Note - When replacing the battery the terminals where cleaned of any corrosion and greased.

I'm with Dave on this 1. When I worked with Ford an machanice had intrduced me to Dielectric silicone. I have used it on all my critical and not so critical conections since. Works great on batt, ditributers, plugs, ect. Water can't coroded where it can't get too!
