* Alpine deck 35 X4
* MEI Amp 2 ch X 25 RMS
* Yamaha YPA-600 Amp 50/50-150
* Tube Sub, 22"X12"...guess its a 10" speaker

anyone know this stuff? Man MEI, I know that name but can't place it. ;(

when did yamaha get out of car audio?

a older friend of mine wants this stuff installed anyone know what I'm getting into... I haven't see this stuff yet but I assume its new.

I have a MEI 100+100max amp laying around (DA8350 or something)...pretty old stuff (1994 made in Korea) it's a decent little unit, seems like it would be on par with Jensen or something.

MEI is budget - think a little better than Pyramid but not really Jensen... Well, maybe Jensen..

That Yamaha is a decade old for sure. I believe Yamaha got out in the early mid 90s if I recall correctly.

An Alpine with 35x4 on it is going to be the same vintage.

Looks like you have a 10 year old system there. I would not be too excited to try to get it all working

I would pass. I had a Yamaha cassette deck YCR-420, bought it 15 years ago. They got out of car about 4-5 years after that. MEI is swap meet stuff from back in the day, run, don't walk away from that stuff.

yeah the mie stuff could be baiught at sears ......they even had an mei & sparkomatic display down at home hardware for a couple years (don't know if you remember that or not )
