cowboom - Car Stereo Market Place

I've been looking for a good component set and I've been awfully busy with school and my full time job so I haven't gotten around to purchasing a set. I was checking out some of the deals in the car stereo market place and found the ebay seller cowboom, who has unbelieveable prices. I'd like to get a component set of Alpine Type Rs (6.5") however the company appears to only ship to US. Would anyone be kind enough to buy a set and ship it to me, I'll send you the money through Paypal and a lil extra. It'd be greatly appreciated.

Why not support your local shop?
Chances are that the ebay seller isn't an authorized seller, and you wont have any warranty on the product.
Not to mention the fees upon bringing it up.

If the price is too good to be true than it probably is. $299 for a good set of components is very reasonable. $80 is too low. We carry alpine where I work and that's below cost for the alpine set that we have which is a few levels under the Type R. I would suggest that you do a little shopping around at a local dealer and demo some stuff and you should be able to find something for less than $300. If $80 is your buget then maybe you should consider just some regular coax speakers, There should be something available in that price range.

And it even comes with a free title to some prime swamp land..... if the deal is too good to be true it usually is. Have you not been reading the news (or watching it) on the quantity of counterfeit goods being sold these days?

well the reasoning for the pricing is because it is open box. the item is in prefect working condition, however it is missing its original box. its acutaly being sold by a sub-company of Dealtree. personally, i'd all for saving money just because theres no box, the products functionality is my main concern.

Ask to see the pictures of the serial numbers
Alpine has a few tricks up their sleeves in regards to tracking their product.
I'm a huge Alpine guy, love them, and I'm willing to pay the extra money for them.

Open box with no box from an ebay store, that throws up red flags all over the place for me.

Oh and you have a pm.

your a rube, you have listened to good advice and facts (below cost is a loss) now you are right and everyone else is wrong. Please spend your money... get ripped off ...and be done with it. used is used, try not to confuse it with new or fully operational

I have come to the realization that I would definitely be smarter to buy a set brand new from a local dealer. Thank you for your input everyone.
