that box was a horn, it doesnt to 150 or anything close. what u put in a crx box is totally diff. u use waive guides and other things to break standing waves.

I use the wave guide to create acoustic gain(exponential horn).horns will get very loud, it's just difficult to fit into a small cargo area for the size required to tune, and it is VERY dependent upon loading.
with a pair of 6.5's, a 150db on a calibrated classic termpro is completely possible

How come when you take a d2 and modify it, it's called a modded d2 and not a totally different name?? </font>
Because the type of person that runs Earthquake would be easily confused if it had a different name

MaNiC - thanks for the idea - now when I get into conversations with sealed lovers I can tell them I run a "modified sealed box"

Actually the CRX box was first made by team sweetsounds and was used in a yellow CRX that was owned by Matt Brandsoy. The first subs used in the CRX box were 12" Image Dynamics IDQ's version 1's (two of them) He then went on to world finals and used image dynamics IDMAX's in the same box without changing anything and gained in the area of 1-1.5 db just swapping out.

he coppied it from some guy that used it in a caravan with slot ports. Matt Brandsoy posted that himself on termpro a while ago. it was a post called 'History of the CRX Box' or something.
