But how many customers will you never see cause the jack *** goes off about your store to everyone that ever listens..............
I'm all for throat punching 90% of the customers out there................but sometimes it isn't in the business's best interest long term..............

that was kinda the point, at what point do you stop providing a level of service that will never benefit you in the end, if he is already decided, then why spend valuble time and $$$ on a guy who has already decided that he wont deal with you, it all comes down to you, and if you think this guy is going to walk on you and hack you anyway

Ben is a great guy, I have met him in person and really enjoyed talking to him. Sadly, this exact issue is one that gets under his skin and I guess he did snap on Rob.
That being said, Rob is wrong, I broke the damn thing and he's screwed for it. So what.
Let me borrow his CRX and I'll see how it handles a few 6000rpm clutch drops with slicks on it. I guarantee I ain't gonna need two weeks to prove my point, 20 minutes ought to suffice.
That being said, I told Rob to buy a fargin' ten, not an eight.
It's Ben choice on how he handles Rob, I think he's so right to not fix it, since he's just going to see it. That't teach the dumb-*** a lesson.

Too many customers think this is a huge Nameless Faceless Corporation and they are sticking it to The Man when they pull one over on us or screw us somehow.
I know plenty of customers that feel justified and even BRAG !?! about pirating satellite signal. They feel Bell eXpressVu makes too much money and that they are in the right to steal the signal.
That same train of thought carries over into electronics in general with some customers.
Oh yeah and if I ever forget...remind me not to be Tim's customer and bitch & whine about stupid stuff. Throat punches hurt like a sonufabitch.

Well I too will agree that the way Ben spoke to the little (^%#@ may have some other problems in the future BUT it has also stopped a few things.
First, Rob has already tried to cause all the damage he could. This is his second sub and Ben, myself, and many others have spent countless hours trying to educate him on the proper usage of the sub. He would have gotten a new "freebee" and would have busted it just as fast and been back online.
Bass Mechanik is not proper usage with 750+Wrms and no subsonic filter in a ported box (as he admitted to listening to). It takes alot of force to damage that flat cone and he managed to put indents in it with the tinsels and then break the glue joint.
When he called all bitchy and demanding a new sub I kindly asked him to send it back to me and I would make sure eD saw it. Between Ben and I we decided that it was best to take a stand and cut him loose now. I sent a rather lengthy email explaining the reasoning behind it not being covered and only got one response from him, this:

By replacing it for someone "like him" we have admitted there is a flaw in the design and he would that word. There IS NOT a flaw so that would just start romours.
If not that people would know that it was a freebee and that they should get the same treatment and get a new sub if they abuse theirs.

Oh and he is officially banned from ordering on both our sites. We don't want him and I really don't want anyone else to have him...he is trouble!
