To cut large stranded cabling, I always use a curve blade cutter such as this...Attachment 984

for a nice cut my preference has been ordinary steak knives with a fine serrated edge.... you can buy 5 for a buck at the dollar store.... only takes a few seconds and you can easily trim off insulation while you are at it... :smokin:

Yeah that's what I use, you can get a pair at any Canadian Tire or Home Depot.

I just used a serrated steak knife on my 4ga. Worked great unless i got cuttin too fast.

cable cutters are crap for 1/0 or bigger.

bolt cutters work the best and u can get it from canadian tire

i've also used gardening scisors and hack saw.
