no other aftermarket loc adjusts for the changing frequency response that alot of oem head units are nice enough to offer, so it doesnt matter if you use the ac, navone, soundgate or whatever loc, the cleansweep is the only one that adjusts for frequncy response, and the external volume control can easily be integrated into a user friendly location and the main one can be creatively locked into position so it cant be adjusted by unfamiliar users

The main advantage the Audiocontrol has over the JL unit, is it can sum outputs. This is handy on factory systems that only have crossed over outputs available (such as the JBL system in new Toyota's) IN fact the Cleansweep demo car in JL's booth at CES had an LC6 before the Cleansweep.

But at 3 to 4 times the money is it worth that much more then the LC6 considering the LC6 creates a sub out and give you a sub control....................
I think the Cleansweep is a great piece, but at the price they want, not to mention it's easier to buy a AC piece if your not a dealer then a JL piece if your not a dealer................I think in the long run the LC6 or a soundgate piece is the better choice...............unless your a JL dealer...........

absolutley, in my market and the way we do car stereos the cleanseep is far more suitable, besides most amplifiers that we sell come with an optional sub level control anyway, so its not a big issue

If the signal is data only (like the new JBL system in the Toyota's) you will lose all preamp functions of the headunit. The Cleensweep cannot correct for it. In the system I am talking about there is a single wire that carries the signal from the deck to the amp that is a constant AC voltage, something like 2.5 volts IIRC. Inside the amp the signal is split with a three way crossover, so the only out puts available for a line out converter are bandwisth limited, and even if you used 5 channels of amplification (front high, front mid, front low, rear mid, rear high) there is no guarantee that the crossover points in the factory amp are conducive to good sound from the aftermarket speakers.
