Wow, I just read that XM is a major sponsor this year of dB Drag and they are going whole hog this year.
"The highlights of this sponsorship include the following ...
* Radio to the power of X dB Drag Racing tour.
* dB Drag Racing staff (such as Sam, David, Steve, and Doug) will officiate these events. The presentation at these events will be top notch and include towers, pa, banners, etc.
* The events will be held at select retailers with no charge to the retailer. However, the retailer must agree to heavily promote the event.
* Contestant entry fee will be waived. (Free!)
* First time contestants will receive a free dB Drag Racing membership.
* Trophies and other prizes will be awarded at each event.
* All events will be broadcast over dBTV.
* There will be a Deathmatch competition at the World Finals for each of our four divisions of competition (Street, Street Max, Super Street, and Extreme).
* The dBDRA will award a NEW CAR to the winner of each of these four Deathmatch contests.
* World Finals participants who compete in 10 or more "tour" events will receive a leather jacket. We will not be giving jackets to points champions this year, however.
* World Finals trophies will be awarded to 1st-3rd place winners.
* Prize money will not be awarded at the Finals this year."
Will this wake up the other organizations? Geez, I am even thinking of doing SPL!
