Don't sweat it bro, we all **** up once in a while. I got caught in the prefab box hell as well not too long ago. There is a thread about it on here...http://www.canadiancaraudio.com/online/enclosure-design-construction-help/130988-think-your-box-doesnt-make-difference.html If you keep the gains and volume down you should be okay for a while. But do not push it at all. Let me see what I can come up with for you. I could do it for $20 + parts. Just need to work out garage time with my landlord.

Damn thats not a lot of time man. I don't think I would be able to do it that quick. Maybe jalat can help you out as he is all set up for it already. I sent him a PM to check out this thread so we'll see if he can help you. If you just wanted a sealed box with no carpet on it I could maybe get it done this Saturday for you. If you absolutely can't do anything else you could always get some 2x4s or some foam type stuff to put in it for now to eat up the extra space in it. You just need to secure it really well so it is not going to be flying around inside the box. You need to put 1cu' inside to make it right.

I don't either, but if you ask any of the guys here they will tell you putting a sub in a ported box 1cu' too big is a big no no. It has to do with how much air is behind the cone, and the pressure it creates pushing against the back of the cone. Too much air and it will not control the movement and the cone will try to move too far and bottom out. This is what is going to cause the damage as pieces inside are banging into things. Just get some good wood glue and some 2x4s. Measure the 2x4s to give you 1cu' and start gluing them in so that they do not block the port and you should be good. Not an ideal solution, but definately the cheapest.

That's a good idea with the displacement 2x4's. Just mod your box.

IF the specs for the box are correct you are fine. I don't see how they are though, they say it is 1.65cu' but the dimensions they give come out to 2.38cu' even with port and speaker displacement it is still a little big. I think it is in the usable safe range, although I would still be a little cautious with the gains and volume.

that enclosure will do you fine til i build one/design one for you.

only thing i have to say is make sur eyour not clipping that amp/subwoofer. you have some nice equipement, and although you have a capacitor, its not going to solve your voltage problems the way an extra batt would or a HO alt
