DD!!!!! How much will it cost and, can IT take it?

Alright guys, I need to know the price of a DD 2500 12" and 15" for my friend. He wants to go with 2 mb quarts but I told him one DD will probly be way louder and alot better in general. We have no suppliers around my area and I can't call DD because it is after hours. So does anyone have any idea what these subs run for?

Second question, I know DD can take alot more than their ratings. My friend will be running my old infinty amp which is 1200Wrms. Can this subwoofer take that kind of power daily?

Thanks for the help guys.

You should have no problems with that kind of power on a 25 series sub....

can't tell you a price though because you're in the US... just wait to call DD directly.

has anyone delt with the Digital Design factory customer service. Like I said before, I have no dealers in my area. Is their service fast? Reliable?

You can probably do a websearch as well as the rest of us.
Their site says that each 2500 driver is designed to work well with a 5-600 wrms monoblock amp. Do you want us to tell you it will take more so you have someone to blame when you destroy it? I'm a big fan of using more power for better sound, but when you have too much power, you have to be very careful, or you'll vaporize your coils. When you put 1200 wrms into a speaker rated 1000 wmax, you only have to hit clipping once and you'll kill it.
Then you put it in the forsale section as NIB. Which ofcourse is why nobody shops there....

The DD3512 is far more suited to this application. While the DD2512 will handle it in bursts, it will not handle it in sustained use.

The 25 series is actually rated at 500w RMS, but 1000w 'music'... (2000w peak)

Considering his amp will rarely ever get to 1200w (given impedence rise and other factors) ... I'm very comfortable in saying that it will take the 1200w with no problems.

"Blame someone when you destroy it?" Why would you even say that? I don't want to waste $250, I want you guys to tell me it can take more if it can. If it can not then please tell me because I don't want to waste any money.

And I did search the web, BUT! I forgot to search 2 loud 4 you. I checked last time for prices on a 3500 but unfortunatly that site does not carry that line.

Looks like I will be running my kickers for a while.
