Okay this thread scares me ........... you don't know what your'e doing, but your'e going to try to do it anyway ???
Shell out the $45-$55 labour and get it done - properly and in probbaly under an hour !!
You've spent more time trying to figure sh*t out !!
Go to a stereo install shop !! Save yourself the grief !!

Dude, you just don't instill confidence in me both as an installer or your ethics as pointed out in your sig. "if you post on my posts plz don't try and sell me any thing casue im not very good at keeping up with my word". I'm sure that I'm not the only person who sees this. Might be time to change your approach to how you do things in the future.

You just took one day to do a half-assed deck install in which a normal person could mount properly in under fifteen minutes.

I know when i first installed an aftermarket radio it was in a 82 Pontiac , this was about 10 years ago, the deck was an older alpine cassette with the dual *****, digital tuner and that nifty sensing circuitry which you could fast forward to the next song.
The nice thing is the car was given to me, the deck was old and abused, and was given to me also, so i had nothing to risk in hooking it up, as there was no computerized anything in the car.
In your instance you have a GM late model car which is run primarily by computer, (I had a 95 Montecarlo which is identical to your lumina for wiring) and a new cd player.
From the words in your post you would prolly be the first to admit your fairly new to car audio, and everything involved.
I honestly didn't want you to hook it up wrong, the smell of warranty really sucks when it is incorrectly hooked up at the beginning.
I know i commented to take it to a shop and have it installed, but im not gonna lay the 'I told you So' comment out on the table.. but enjoy the sense of security that once professionally installed if it hicups or coughs or something stops working its only a short drive to have it checked out.
