Deck power

say you have an amp running the front two component sets, they are 60w rms and the amp powering them is 2ch 150w rms/ 4ch 37.5w rms..i'm only using the rca outs on the back, the rear and front speaker wires have nothing on them. is it possible to bridge the deck with the front/rear speaker wires to get more power (the full 200w peak or w/e it is)from the deck to a pair of rear speakers?

thanks!!

I'm no expert but I'm going to guess at no.
As far as I'm aware HU's aren't built to be briged.
I'd guess that if you do this it's gonna fry something.

haha ok thanks.. would 37.5w rms each for 60w rms speakers be really undepowering them and would they distort? or will it work fine?
what do you suggest, 4 speakers 60rms each front/rear or just the two front speakers running off 150w rms for both but setting the gain way down

I'd run the 4ch as a 4ch, 37.5wrms will be plenty for those speakers.

Lightbulb

^ It would be but no headunit makes anywhere close to that kind of power.

a 4 x 50 makes around 22rms power at full power and that doen't mean without distortion, lol....

my cda-9833 puts out 26 blistering watts rmsx4 at less than 1%thd+n, with a s/n ratio of 80dba(ref: 1w@4ohms)...cea certified! But....I don't use it!!! Like "The Boy" said, "get an amp!"
