was just tryin to say that selling features realistically dont always matter after u buy it lol sounds great wen sum1 is telling u about it , then..... lol
i just prefer simplicity , less things to go wrong most of the time.

But just as everyday average user, Make them faster... imo is kind of like a remote, why u need a remote for somthing thats well within arms reach?'Sure they do have a use a few times but in general wen ure driving do u honestly use the remote?' i have used mine 4 or 5 times in like 5+ years.

To me if i can tweak the crap EQ on my ipod/mp3 and have it sound right coming out of the amps the deck could have no functions id be happy.
Just my opinion.
I use my remote daily.

The perfect Deck is allready very CLOSE to being PERFECT.

My 'Dream' Formula for a deck in 2011 looks a little like this:

Pioneer P99RS
+
FLAC Audio Support (or all Losless formats)
+
USB Hub/Multi Device support (similar to Kenwoof KIV mech-less units)
+
DVD Audio (so, CD/DVD transport)
+
PC interface (for tuning, rather than on screen)
+
Autotune that beats an MS-8 (including 'frequency' time delay, not just channel/driver)
-
$500 (minus $500)
-------------------------------
= $700 dream machine.

That's it for me.....others might have and obviously WILL have their own preferences.

Not. There is no reason for it to be so expensive. You can go and buy a cell phone, and it's processing power is more then server class devices that use to be half my size just 10 years ago and the phones cost is a fraction of the price and are of course minuscule in size and weight.

The trick is to get open source software on it to keep costs and development time down. Hardware should be no problem and not a cost factor IMO.

I'd like to see one with the standard receiver functions plus all processing. Processing would basically include everything a couple MiniDSP's can do. I'd want everything mux'd out to the amp on one cable. Either optical or copper makes no dif to me. The D2A should be done in the amp for all 8-10 channels plus volume control (mux'd in with the audio data). You guys supply the amp too. Then everything would have to be open source so I could mess with it

The Fusion was the only deck I can remember seeing with the anti skip... Usb seems to be quite reliable on that side of things. My Zeppelin cd would stop at the first 17 sec. into "Good Times" so I finally learned how to rip em
