Different brand of subs on one amp
This may have been covered here before however I could not find any posts on it. I was looking to add another subwoofer to my system. I currently have 1 12" Bassworx and want to add another 12". As long as I find something will a similar RMS and impedance is it okay to mix and match subs?

no its not a good idea. Will it work, yes
|

not necessarily

i did that back in my early days with this stuff just for fun, and the first time the subs needed way different power levels and sounded terrible. the second time they were both i think 150 or 200 watts rms and it sounded ok...not amazing but not so terrible

And dont forget it will really look tacky

The only way to really do it with out issue is seperate sealed chambers. Do not use a box that uses a common chamber.....why not just get another matching Bassworx. Easy to come by.
