disaster with a zapco and RE xxx!! HELP!!!
i just bought a zapco c2k 9.0 and its on its way here. i am planning to run an RE audio XXX 15 sub with it. But the problem is that my sub is a dual at 4ohm and i think i have also picked up the 4ohm version of the 9.0 by mistake, which puts out 2000x1 at 4 ohms bridged. Dont think i can return or change either cos they were bought internationaly. Now what is the best thing to do. someone help!!

do you even have the sub yet? If RE hasent sent it yet, it shouldnt be a big deal to change your order...

) and getting the sub shipped back is going to be the biggest pain in the *** ever, its a heavy S.O.B. . I'd just get the amp shipped back to Zapco, once you recieve it, and ask them to modify it for you.
SPL why dont you price out what it will cost to change the PS and outputs in that amp...
I think the easiest thing would be to send it back and ask for a different sub... you would have to talk to RE but they should exchange it and all you will lose is the shipping...
Of course that is still damn expensive.. so maybe the amp would be cheaper seeing as how you are in india... but you still have to ship that back and forth and I bet its not cheap to change over.....
**** man.. Id probably just run the zapco at 2ohms...... set the gains judicously and you shouldnt have any problems...
