Do a need a 4-channel amp for 2-220W front & 2-300w 6x9 speakers

What is the make and model of the speakers you're looking to amplify?
At only 45W RMS, I'm going to venture a guess that they're entry level co-axial speakers...
45W isn't that much. Finding a decent amplifier for that small amount of power should be relatively easy. The problem may be the quality of the speakers, and how well they truly handle power.
The first amp that came to mind was a Clarion.
MTX and Pioneer are two brands that should have low output amps for your application.

this is RMS, so the amp should offer at least 50w RMS per channel, right? or the sound will burst and distort all the time.
and my 300w 6x9' are Pioneer's 3-way
my stereo is Sony GT220. 52Wx4 at peak
Thanks all replies!
