Cool Do You Carry A Spare Tire Anymore?

Crazy question but I drive a 2001 Oldsmobile Alero with a spare in the trunk beneath the carpet ...

To those that have built boxes or setups in their car, specifically in the trunk, did you have the spare removed or is it still there?
If you kept it, what's the point since it's not accessible?

And if you're aren't carrying it, aren't you afraid of a simple flat?

I'm thinking I'll have to take it out if I get a box made for my vehicle but I'm wondering if I'm just asking for trouble.

Any suggestions?

I've been driving for 22 years and I've never had a flat, so I dont carry a spare, one day it will bite me in the ***, but for now its in the basement.

I had a 8.5 cubic foot box built into one car and totally ditched the spare... which later bit me in the *** when some slashed one of my tires...

for flats a can of that 'inflate & seal' stuff will usually do the trick
