Unless you gonna use time delay settings then it makes no difference imo. Not much of a front stage without proper time allignment with or without rear fill. It becomes much more difficult to set time delay with all cabin speakers by ear. Might as well run rear fill otherwise and you may use fader feature to turn them down, so that you have there for ambiance purposes. I use rear fill and I love it, but I barely hear them and I have them time alligned, but not perfectly, so I fade them out quite steeply. if you want a good front stage, strongly consider time delay and speaker placement, especially tweeters. After getting used to time delay, lack of thereof is just brutal, and you can buy the most expensive speakers and it will still sound like a**. And if you're gonna get into time delay, might as well do the sub delay too. But if you are not planning to use time delay at all, then rears may offer fuller sound.. If you're on a budget, it becomes really difficult to do with front stage only, bacause then speaker placement becomes more crutial, and that might cost more to do it right. Proper sound costs more money, no matter how you look at it. It will sound as good as much work you put into it.

This topic isn't going to give you a definitive answer. Everybody has different ears and preferences. I would run only fronts if it wasn't for the fact that I have a DVD receiver that decodes and produces 5.1 (technically 4.1... The center channel is summed into the left and right channels) so I need to have rears if I wanna have surround effects come through. Plus dual zones is cool too, but that's getting off topic

No rears for me, been there, but until I run 5.1 surround. I'll stick with only fronts.

What I am getting for my deck is the Eclipse CD5030 and Morel Tempo's 6.5 for the front. Not sure if they deck offers time delay and I really no nothing about it.

5030 seems to have time allignment, so you're in luck, not sure if it does sub as well, but I would hope so. Unfortunately, I believe this unti does not offer the "real" time allignment, but it is better than nothing, I believe 7200 has the right stuff.

I thought the 5030 has TA, no?

Thanks, When I do have the money I like to get the best I can and the Tempo's are in my price range for sure.

Pretty sure I will be ordering the stuff from Rob, he seems like an honest guy and that's what I like and that is the kind of service I want.

The only minor problem I have with the deck is, I have never used a 7-band EQ. I've only used 3-band EQ's with presets! So I am not sure how hard it would be to configure this deck with Morel components.

7 bands just gives a little finer tuning. Rob(MR2NR), is a great guy to deal with.
