I did this test out of necessity because for one project I actually did need 30 feet of video cable without signal loss. It went up against high grade pheonix gold (which I use in my truck), mid grade monster cable, and some cheap Recoton which claimed to be heavy sheilded. The Pheonix gold and monster cable cost litterally 10 times more but had a noisier picture. Even the Recoton cable cost more and had the worst picture of the group. That's pretty much how I became a fan of this MCM cable. The bandwidth of video is wider and the level is lower. A video test is a great way to tell the differences in audio cable quality.

do u think there would be any difference in audio that we could hear and would it potentially be bad for the subs maybe cause of sounds not able to be heard by the human ear? i purchased that shorche kit from wal mart, the kit is alright but the RCA's are similar to the ones that i got with my original nintendo. I just wanted to know if it would make a difference if i used the scorche RCA's or or my "platinum braided" ones.

^^^ I think you found the WBT catalogue. The ends in there are the best I've seen. Monster stuff is pretty, but WBT is functional and bullet proof. Transparent Audio use them, and when Bruce Brison first started M.I.T., he used them.

Yep. I just went to Rona-Revy and they had several different sizes of clear tubing on rolls. I made sure that the hose fit the RCA end nicely and off I went!

Well I didn't make my own RCA's. But on my first amp system I bought a $1 home RCA cables and they almost made it to the amp so I bought another and cut off one end of each and put them togther. (I still got it and it worked fine)
