just curious because i swear sometimes it doesn't sound as good as other times.Is it just me or does this really happen.It's like my car, i feel some days it drives better than other.Anyone else feel their system sounds better some days than others?

I feel mine plays differetly some days as well..

Does A SPL vehicle achieve the same score at every competition using the same components playing the same track at the same volume setting?

well i know that weather can make a differnce in the way your system sounds or plays.I think it sounds great no matter what it just sounds different sometimes.e.g i feel i don't get good voltage to the amp some days as i do other days

I get the same thing with my system to, like some days it just doesnt seem to have the same bass output as others, etc. And somedays my car doesnt seem to have the same pickup when i accelerate, and on others the brakes dont feel as firm. It weird man.

As for the car itself sometimes being more slugish..well that is possible with temperature..how warm your engine is...humidity ect.

But for the system..to me it always sounds the same.

Actually.. no

An SPL vehicle WILL score differently depending on the weather. Think of the density/humidity in the air, and also the elevation. (higher = thin air)

Since it does have an effect in SPL, I wouldn't be surprised if it also had an effect in SQ.

(but I don't know that one for sure... sq = teh suck for me)

Stereos do sound better at night... it probably has to do with more moisture in the air and less background noise.

I figured the weather as in humidity / temperature would have a bearing on it. thanks for the info [img]smile.gif[/img]

the hotter the weather is the "muddier" your subs will sound. The cooler the weather the "tighter" they will sound. That is due to heat making the subs "looser" not as stiff as on coolere days.
