Angry downFIRE!!!!!!!!!

Haha, I am actually not mad I just have a question. I asked earlier about having my subwoofers 3 inches from the back door but now I think it would be better if I could have the subwoofers downfiring (not as easily damaged). I know that some subwoofers are very bad when upside down but I need to know about mine. How do I find out if my two 15" kicker cvr's would work facing the floor. Are there any set backs to having the subs facing the floor such as lower spl or sq??? Thanks for any advice.

Logan.

Downfiring is alright. It doesn't maximize SPL but "boundary loading" can make it more consistent if you have your hatch open or whatnot.

I like to 'wedge' a downfiring box, in your case make it more like 2.5-3" off the floor at the front and 5-6" at the back.
