Do you guys have any info about the Alpine 8121 car alarm. The only thing I know is that it was made around the early 1980s and it cost an ar and a leg when new.

Recently, I bought the brain for an 8121 off ebay, I am now trying to track down the rest. You guys wound't happen to know much about them would you?

Seems my stereo is coming up vintage alpine. My deck is a 7826 from 97, rear fill are some alpine 5.25 co-ax, and my center channel amp is from the 80s. I love old skool alpine.

You know if Apline built an 8 Track?

I have a Pioneer on it's way here(whenever my Grandmother decides to ship it)...

Your comment on old skool Alpine got me wondering how many of the big manuf. made an 8 Track unit...

Not trying to be a smarta**,but if anyone knows of other big names that made em,let me know...I'm really curious....I think it would be fun to find out how far back some of the heavy hitters go back...

Good Luck on finding that gear,Z....I will keep my eyes and ears open for ya....

Keep on Thumpin'!!

Hey Zut, that alarm is a little before my time but I do know it's a pretty old one. Dukk might know more and he should be back on here shortly. Another good source of info for old Alpine alarms is Tim Baillie (Thuderforce Toyota).

Oh, and I found another 3519 amp. $39 locally here where I live at Cash Converters which is a little more of an 'upper scale' pawn shop. Let me know if you are interested.

$40 isn't too bad. I still gotta hook up my 3519 to see if it works. I was at the junk yard the other day and found an alpine 3518 manual!

Thanks for the help sux2bu!

It's not the forum, its just one person who is all about the 8-track. You can do something similar. For example, you could somehow use one of those singing birthday cards as your HU, go for the loudest birthday card in the world, and be sure that you talk about it in everypost . . . just don't expect the birthday card to play lower than 1khz.
