Custone Car Audio - whitby, off of champlain i belive
auto accesory zone( i think thats the name) in whitby, right near powerhouse auto sports
I personally wont recomend any shops to u, i dont like any of them there all lost, all they care about is jl, mtx, sony, clarion and pioneer(maybe some hertz and fusion tossed up in there)
staff at all of them is a joke, i have heard some good things about hi fi centre installs, but there knowledge about the real audio world and SPL is just obsolete.
also, ultimate does some decent work, just sometimes takes a very long time to gte anyhting done, at least thats wat i found with my old alarm
id recomend going outside durham if u can, if not...geuss ur stuck

I had my Alpine Imprint done at HiFiCentre Whitby.
After much f-ing with software, they finally got it done.
I buy parts at Custom Sound in Ajax- Hunt St. They are great for standard installs.
I've seen some custom boxes there, he must have somebody who builds them for him.

After purchasing my CX-7 with the Bose system in it I stopped in at Whitby Hi-Fi to price some gear to replace the whole thing.
They recommended I just put a bigger amp on the Bose speakers because "the Bose speakers are really great sounding. I don't know why you'd want to replace those". Now anyone who tells me Bose speakers sound good tends to put up a major reg flag in my mind but then they also added,
"We've done lots of Mazda's and know the CX-7's very well". I tried to make them understand that you can't just swap out the amp on the CX-7 and use the factory HU as all the processing including volume gets done at the amp but it kept going over there head (since then a part has been made that allows this but it was not produced at that time).
And it's not just one idiot there, I spoke to three people while I was there.
I didn't want their opinion anyway I just wanted a decent price on gear which can be had if you deal with the owners but instead I was blessed by the three not-so-wise men. I would recommend staying away from Durham shops. I haven't found one that I would trust to touch my car.
