Looking to put together an SQ setup for the 2006 competition year (realisticly, there's no way I'd be ready for 2005, cause I need a new car). I've narrowed it down to the following, 2 e12A or 2 IDmax12. My price on both is about the same, so it's a matter of which is going to give me a better sound.

Of those who have used either one, or both. which is going to give me the best SQ (with a little bit of SPL for cruising) with 500-700 RMS for the pair?

The rest of the setup will be DLS speakers, and MTX amps. (I already have the MTX amps, and I don't want to buy more at the moment)

Anyone want to help??

If you were only doing 700 rms for the pair, couldn't you consider the IDQ's instead of the id max? I have used those in the past and they sounded great, I've also used an ed10a, and that sounded great as well.
But yeah with that power I'd suggest the idq's, save some money on the woofers...lol.

With only 5-700rms total you would be much better off with the IDQ or similar.
Maybe a pair of Focal drivers, etc.

if you wanna compete sq you really dont need a pair of either those drivers... 500-700 watts on a max 12 will be very nice as they are efficient.

Max's are VERY effecient. I have one running off 400rms in the wifes car, and it's louder than any sq car i've heard.
