Hmmm, seemed to drive a old Soundstream Rubicon1000 on a pair of SPL15's just fine to the tune of 149.9 db. That said we all can have our stories. A Neon is a great platform for sound, it may be a Legomobile and a little flimsy, but some sound deadening and a good box set up will take care of this.

In the box for the Neon we did (which also took first for SQ) we used a 5.5 cu.ft. coupled chamber ported box. The port was fired up through the rear deck, the box was actually made in two pieces, the bottom piece all glass in the spare tire wheel well, the top box all mdf bolted to it and sikaflexed into place.

There are lots of options for you, mostly dependent on your budget. In this case you are going to need to pour some $$$$$ into a good box, it will make or break the capabilities of the sub. Make sure that the box is mounted down securely as well, a box that rattles around is loosing output potential and is a missile in the event of an accident.

It is more about the box than it is the sub..... For as much as Audiobahn get slagged from forum to forum, the stuff does work and does work well when used properly. As these are dual 4 ohm subs, they can be wired in a series / parallel circuit to a 4 ohm load for this amp to operate. As far as the rms wattage ratings of these subs go, it just might be a little stretch to get those ratings. I bet that this amp will do just fine.

ive heard a single 10 of that same sub, and it did get pretty loud. the SQ wasnt all there, but if you want to get loud, put them in a well made box and you should be good
