Experienced with fibreglass??

Would any of you be interested in helping me with a speaker (6.5) project. I have the idea but I'm no good with tools and that crap. Compensation for the labor would be included, so I'm not asking someone to do it for free. But I certainly can't afford to goto a shop and have them do it etc. Besides I'd like to somewhat learn as I watch it be done.

Please

Thanks guys.

- Ter.

This is the view of the door, so nothing fancy just cutting out the 'cover' thats there and replacing it with a fibreglassed 'box' or w/e you wish to call it.

This would be a pic of it looking at it from the side. So it's not gonna be sticking out very far and its pretty basic.

I hate hidin it, had it that way for a month now don't like it.

Also had my pager alarm installed the other day as well.

And doing my car as a show car in the long run, not sellin her. And when I do sell her it won't be worth anything near what I've put in to it and paid for it so its not somethin I'm to concerned about.

Glassing isnt too terribly hard to do and very few tools are required. For a small project like that, just go to walmart or crappy tire and get a fiberglass kit with resin, hardener and mat. Take a look at an online tutorial. There was a thread a while ago with some links. Worst case scenario: you learn a little about glass and screw up a 17 dollar fiberglass kit. Then if it turns out fine, you can take it to a autobody shop and they should be able to spray it for you if you want it painted.

I'm not good with building things like that thats all lol I read the tutorials would still like help if I decided to do it myself. Which i might when it comes to the subs if I decide to glass the enclosure for that one.

But for now I'd like to watch and help a bit for the 6.5" fronts and learn that way. Visual learner lol

Wanted somethin like this but that may be further down the road rather than right now ...

I just made some myself of pretty much exactly what your looking to do.

It was my first time glassing, and it wasnt that hard at all although quite time consuming.

I'm gonna get some pics up soon, mine arent quite as good as the ones above lol, but they do sound a hell of a lot better than in the stock locations.

Coulter the last picture I posted cost the guy about $3,000 lol thats why its so good But thats the price of his entire glassed interior. I just want something like that that can be done without a price tag like that and just the doors. I plan on makin my car into a show car so. Glass is a must IMO.
