Setting the clock is easy. Push the display button until you're at the clock. Then while holding down the display button you can adjust the clock up and down by pushing the number buttons 2 through 4 (I think).

By pushing and holding the volume **** you can toggle the loudness on and off.

But the EQ is a differnet story. All you have is bass/mid/treble, or you can toggle this off completely if you have an external EQ. Unless you have a DSP connected that is the bulk of it's EQ abilities. However if you connect the Eclipse 2301 DSP processor you get TONS of options there.

There is a 5504 player on eBay right now. Maybe if you messaged the seller they could help you with a manual. Offer them $10 for a photocopy or something, maybe they can help you out.
