Unhappy Eclipse meets alpine no go

Hi I'm looking for some help to do with the stereo setup i installed yesterday. I bought an eclipse 8454 head unit and an alpine 240 mrp amplifier and already had an alpine mrd 300. After installing all of the speakers and getting everythign ready i find out i have no bass. It seems that the mrd 300 is ignoring the audio signal from the head unit. any ideas? the mrp 240 seems to work jsut fine with the signal put out from the HU.

My first thought would be that the Eclipse head unit has too much line output voltage for the amplifier to deal with but with the other amp working I guess that's not the case.
Does the MPR amplifier have a line level output? If so, you could try it & see what happens.

my first thought is if the eclipse deck has a output for a subwoofer and your m300 is hooked up there, it must have a subwoofer control on the deck! or try hooking the rcas from the 240 to the m300 and see if you get some sound! Just my 2 cents

My thought is that the CD8454 is in pro mode.....try taking it out of pro mode and see if the non fader comes alive. Try also plugging the front or rear rca into the sub amp to verify that it is not a bad amp that you have.
