No... you can clear a product through customs on your own without using a broker. (and have it shipped to you)

There's still taxes/duty, but no brokerage fee's because you are acting as the broker.

to clear a product through customs, you must do it in person. To do it in person, you must live close enuf to a border to drive there and be present In 15 years of ordering products from the states (and doing all the research that goes along with it), I've NEVER heard of brokering a product yourself without being present....

is there a set fee for brokerage fees or does it depend on the value of the product..if it does is it always a certain percentage of the product value?

anyone have any ideas?

Since when did ED start to make their stuff in the US? There is a major difference between made in the US and assembled in the US with US and offshore parts.
