Ever had one of those years?

Some of you many have seen me posting on here that I really wanna compete in dh drag and such. Well I have slowly been getting there but when I first started on this I had just bought my jetta. Well I had a whole wiring meltdown in wiring. Costing me $2000. Well of course they slowed me down a lot. Then the gas tank in my truck went costing me $600. So now I am finally buying my stuff for my system slowly getting up there. Well now I had to put anti freeze into the car twice in a week. Starting to think maybe it's my head gasket. Head gaskets are cheap but labor isn't. Gonna try bars leak and hopefully fix it. But if not my season might end before it gets to start. So what I am getting at is everyone cross their fingers for me. And wish me luck with the bars leak. Sorry there are no paragraphs my computer recently fried lol ya bad luck seams to fallow me

If your head gasket is leaking you will either be blowing white smoke out the exhaust (which is hard to tell in winter) or else your oil will look milky. Otherwise... your leaking it somewhere else... usually heater cores this time of year.

if its not loosing coolant horribly, groud pepper in coolant does work on "smaller" leaks. Cheaper is always better right now is best time to figure out if its leaking or its somthing else , park on fresh snow and let it idle for 15 mins then back up 15 feet and look lol.

Hey thanks I did not know about the oil looking milky and it being diesel it's always black smoke lol. Stupid question but do you mean the oil will look to be an off white? Or do you mean milky as in the texture? I am gonna try some bars leak and hopefully that will help if not I will check out the heater core. Lol considering the amount of snow here I am always parked over dirt lol

tried some rad stop crap heavy duty kind but no such luck. there is a spot on the ground. but its a big spot. and it melt in a weird way almost like from heat. would anti freeze cause this?
the car is gonna be going in regardless and hopefully its just a hose.

It wouldn't be antifreeze, its most likely the waterpump, they are notorious to go,
and your oil would be discolored and maybe have a weird smell to it, but being a diesel, it will smell weird regardless lol

the oil looks fine checked it. and ya oil in diesel smells like diesel lol. doesnt smell like motor oil but i dont think it does unless its brand new lol.

but the oil is fine.

so what do u mean exactly? i am no where near mechanicly inclinded lol does the waterpump pump out the anti freeze? and your saying its probably that that is leaking which would leave a weird mark like that? also would it only leak when it is running if its the waterpump?
