So there's this dude who works at a shop right next door to our store that comes in all the time and acts like he's Mr.Know it all...about everything...
So we get talking car audio and he starts asking some good questions.He asks what kind of fusing I'm using.So I go in the back,grab my two 250 amp MEGA fuses.He starts laughing."Thats not going to protect anything!"he says."I used to run a 1500 watt RockFord amp of a 50 amp fuse" [img]graemlins/bs.gif[/img] in my books.
He then starts talking about how he had all this Rockford stuff in his car...2-12"s DVC,2 1500 watt amps hooked up to em..and he had it tested and pulled out an amazing 142.3 db out of it....Now I start to laugh.I tell him I've done better with my 2-10"sSVC on one amp of about half the power.He replies"I'd pay to see 2 tens with SVC's beat 2 12's with DVC's"...I was almost willing to take him up on that.I offered to print off a copy of my stats page on DB drag, but his thought on that was "anyone can print anything off a computer..play with numbers and ***t"...
That's where the conversation eneded......for me anyway...
This same guy has told me that anything RF builds can beat names such as DD... [img]graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
Anyone else ever run into dummies like this on a regular basis?Working at a parts counter,I meet em alllllll the time!!

met a guy recently tyhat claimed that alpine is the elite in SQ, and that they'll never be beaten. I repsonded with "yeah the F#1 status gear is really nice" his response was along the lines of "no way, the type-R stuff is a lot better than that" I mentioned something about my denon HU, and DLS reference componants, he looked at me funny and asked what those brands were. told him nevermind, and walked away.
