The Motomaster Eliminater Spiral Gold is the same battery as the Orbital XCD and it has free shipping if your store doesn't have it.

The larger size one is only available online but if you have space issues likely you will be going with the smaller anyways.

I am gonna be putting a battery in the trunk of my car to power the system, what batteries would you recommend for this application. I am looking at something like a yellow top but maybe less expensive?

Also you take something like a newer Civic with the battery on the firewall. No fitment guide anywhere will say a "standard" size Spiral cell will fit there. It will, but it's custom.
Hehehe, I keep forgetting about Civics. Oh wait, they aren't cars, they're just lawnmowers with car shells.

Full size orbital will NOT fit my car...measured it last night...might fit if I used the side posts...

Question...if I use the side posts, can I remove the top posts...if I can remove the top posts, it will probably fit...

By the way, the guy at the Canadian Tire parts desk could NOT have been LESS helpful.

Thanks,

Lawrence.

Rockford, Lightning and Metra among others sell the same battery under their branding (RF and Lightning actually have them delivered by the Exide guy on their regular route).

I have one of the RF models in my car, works fine. I have an Injen intake so it was a bit of a squeeze, but it is definately a starting battery.

I never run my stereo with the car off, so is this really what I want?

So, can anyone tell me if the top posts get removed if you use the side posts?
