Believe me if there was a better way of making the coil wire to lead wire joint we would do it. We do solder multiple runs of tensel lead wire to the coil wires and laminate then to the spiders, bring the runs together and solder to the 10 gauge leads on the outside of the spider. This eliminates spider slap, frayed spiders and cones. If there is a better method we will use it....we arn't that proud.

I'm not saying terminals don't work well; in most cases they work great and present no problems. We were looking for ways to eliminate some of the problems associated with high power applications and enduser abuse to increase the reliability and durability of our products.

platinum or gold plating is to prevent corrosion... not to make for better continuity... clown ***....
