hrmmm you're right.. thats odd then that they also have a dynamat x-treme door kit.. for 2x the price [img]graemlins/dunno.gif[/img] guess u just get more.. this one is a wedge pak so i guess its not really meant for doors specifically

That is a total rip...4 square feet for 50 bucks...especially when you can get a B Quiet product for about twice as much, but end up with over 10 times the dampener.

Ya I would have to say that the dampening factor is not the only thing to be looking at. If you check out that test about the heat and cold tests didn't fair to good with the B-quiet and b-bread stuff. I live in Canada and temp changes so rapidly that just the temps test alone would make me stay with Dynamat. Its no good if it fell off. IMO

Why not use the sponser for this website, B-Quiet...the have the most affordable line of sound deadening and has been Dynamat in dollar for dollar tests all day long...the link is on the left hand side of the page.

I dont know I just have always used the Dynamat. Its hard to teach an old dog new tricks. [img]smile.gif[/img] Ya know what I mean. It kind of like people flaming over high end equipment and you get what you pay for sort of deal. I believe there is some of the cost because of there name but also Im sure some of the cost is for what goes into the product. I personally never tried the B-quiet products but thats just me being stubborn.

Dynamat Extreme is a good product. B Quiet extreme and Raamat BXT work just as well at much less cost. Your choice. Happy install.

well just got myself like 150 sq feet of 1.5 mm dampener that has pretty much the same specs.. butyl.. aluminum finish etc.. as dynamat and other deadeners from rona for 40 $ it's not one meant for roofs.. there was one (the red zone peel and seal) and it fking stuuuunk. This one is a so called "all purpose" one that has a stick on back and everything.. doesn't smell much at all either.. It's resistant to quite a bit of heat as well.
