yeah that hammer is a nice amp

I don't see any drawback to using tsunami it's good stuff........... it just doesn't have the wow factor you said you're looking for

IMO the high end amp stuff is crap ......... all that matters are features(such as signal processing) and power output into the impedance you are driving

you'd have a hard time telling a sony from a brax if you didn't know what was in the trunk .......

it seems what makes an amp "high end" is how expensive it is ...........

^ Nice to see Dodge and I feel the exact same way about amps...

The only things I care about in an amp:
-Does it have the power I want at the impedence I will show it?
-Is it reliable?
-Do I like the looks?

As long as it fits those criteria and my budget then I don't care what the badge says.

If I was buying an amp today I would be considering:
MTX
Coustic
Concept
Rockford
Memphis
Kicker

Although for the price, those Sony amps Dodge mentioned work very well, are reliable, and you can bet that if you have 3-4 in your trunk that you won't find many other similar setups ;)

What do you think of the Arc Kar series of amplifiers? I may go with that because I fond an awesome deal on them.

I feel the same way as you 2 do, I am just a little more picky. As long as it has enough power at the right load impendance, fits my budget and catches my eye than i would buy it. The only thing that I dont like is having something that everyone else has or can buy at there local futureshop.

arc is good stuff .........seems to have a high end "air" to it like you wanted ;)

It's not the "high end" part that im looking for. I am looking for something that will produce slightly over its rated power, sound really accurate and smooth for the sub and produce the mids and highs with some warmth. Hopefully the deal goes through and ill finally be able to almost complete my system. What would you guys suggest for a good deck. Right now I have a panasonic 602U and im definitely gonna be looking to upgrade. Right now I am looking at a higher end eclipse deck, the new JVC 9750 or maybe a in-dash screen. What decks offer awesome SQ and good useful features?

Along with the amps im probably gonna be getting the PEQ7 from Arc. Do you think its worth it to get it?

I am sure the Arc is a great sounding amplifier.

Ok I am pretty sure im gonna get the Kar 1000.2T(x2), 1 440.4 and the PEQ7. What would you recommend as a good deck, good size Alt and soudn deadening for my car. Also does anyone know agood place for pricing on stinger wiring products?

Deck: Alpine/Eclipse or others

Sound deadening: Brown Bread from www.b-quiet.com

I was thinking of getting 70 sq ft. of brown bread but I was concerned whether or not it would be enough to cover the car. I would be doing the entire trunk and doors. I am not sure where else would be worth it, any suggestions? I am installing this in a civic coupe. For decks I like the eclipse decks but I am also looking for a little flash with the deck. Alpine's are really nice too but it seems like there top of the line decks all use the green/amber backlighting which isnt my taste. I was looking at getting the new JVC 9750 deck because it seems to have alot of useful features and also has some flash to it.

I picked up 35 sq. ft. of the BrownBread as part of the Group Buy last month for my Jeep Yj. I had enough to do almost 2 full layers on the front tub area, from the firewall back to the driver/passenger seats, enough to cover both of my doors (they are quite small) and enough to do a layer in the back, underneath my back seat. Hope this helps!
