My bad dude, I thought you just had a typo and forgot to add the extra 0. That deck isn't too bad then.

if you buy new stuff -> you get what you pay for.
go for cheap and you will get cheap.
few month down the road you will want to upgrade and 1000$ you spend wont be worth anything.

if you buy used things you get way more for your buck.
i had 3 different systems so far and all used and no problem since i bought them in person and insured of funcionality.

what id recomment for you to buy is :

1. deck
2. amp + subs

if you put 1000$ into that you will actually get good hardware to play with.
You can run your stock speakers off of the deck for a while.

if you get new speakers and run them off the deck you wont notice much difference unless you get a speakear amp.
so
3. speaker amp

my stock sepeakers run perfectly from my speaker amp as you can adjust bass and treble as well as volume on the speaker amp.

4. speakers

as you see 3 and 4 can be delayed for future upgrade.

remember you can do it right once or redo it twice but that will cost you more $ where as you can put them toward rims, bodykit, etc for ur car. :)

if you got any questions shoot me a pm :P

Most consumers on here are fans of the net brand of the month. If you follow forums from day 1, you would see this as clearly as people who are involved in the industry from a business standpoint.

A good cd player, Eclipse CD3000, 5 volt preouts on the front / rear / subwoofer and right now comes with a free Ipod interface (IPC-106 $140.00 value), $290.00 for the cd and no charge on the interface. Get it installed by a dealer in Vancouver area and you then have 3 years warranty and free replacement in the first year if it is stolen.

Drop me a pm and we can build a quality system for you. Lots of options to consider here. No shipping charges as well as you are so close to me.

WUT! free ipod interface!? I just bought one and I did not get one of those! Danget. Lol.

And... I was going to recommend an eclipse HU but it seems like I am always recommending the equipment that I buy. But my friend has had one of these HU's for over a year and I have never heard it skip and nothing has ever went wrong with it. The 5v outs are awesome and sq is great.
