to be missed. I went to FS tonight to buy batteries and talked to a few former coworkers. Their car audio business is in the toilet. The guy everyone hates is store manager now, sending about 4 more employees to Visions, and about 3 more just quitting. I also found out the new store they are building here will now have two bays but no longer have a woodcutting room! Oh and on top of all that no product experts (the "well trained" commisioned ones) are allowed in the car audio room, only the non commissioned dummies! Normally I don't revel in others failure, but I feel that Karma is a bitch and after the way they treated me there, maybe they realize they made a mistake.

Dereck, this happened to me too in the past when I worked for a big box..... I guess asking your manager not to drink and drive and then having to call the cops on him when he did was a good way to secure your removal from the store. Did their business go down, definitely did as where I landed there business went waaaaaay up.

You had a wood cutting shop??? I envy you...
I know what you mean, though. I moved from the London store to be lead tech at the Brantford store, and every time I went to visit them they made me feel their pain. Apparently they've just found a guy fresh out of Mobile Dynamics (no real world experience) after 1.5 months to replace me, and lucky him he's just in time for starter season. Hope he's a quick learner. We are definitely few and far between.

I wouldn't be into that. I pretty much managed the entire car audio section when I was there. It wasn't too bad. But the operations manager who was my boss at the time, would come up with a half baked idea, get the store manager to agree to it, I would implement it, and when it turned out to be a bad idea (which I said it was in the first place) I was the one getting in trouble for it.

I swore I was leaving the industry... that lasted 2 whole weeks until I got a call to Return to Innovation to fill Gen Mgr....
BB hired back a green guy I trained for about 6 months who had left about a month before I did.. Paying the guy over $15 an hour and has no real clue... They may be in trouble come starter season..
What ever happened to your shop?
