Exclamation Finally Found My Subs, But Is It A Scam? HELP!

Hey guys,
Found a set of subs on j-body.org in a box with an amp. Price is sort of scaring me hough. The subs are 2 12" Alpine Type R's, in a sealed box, and an 800 watt Monoblock amp for the subs, for ony 170. I was thinking the subs in the box would be worth that alone. Not sure of the name of that monoblock, since I forgot to ask him (D'oh!). Anyway, what do you guys think? Is he trying to pull the wool over my eyes or what? Thanks a lot.

EDIT: It's an Alpine Amp, here's a picture:

You know what they say... if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Like Jordy said!!

Idea: get the guy to take pictures with todays newspaper, like the Globe and Mail with the date, then you'll know if he really has the items,,,

as far as the price,,, depending on where he is, can you go to see the items?

No, I can't go see it. He's in the states, and up here in Canada. It'd be a C.O.D thing though, so no money till I get the package at Puralator, sound good to you guys?

If I remember correctly Purolator won't let you open the package to see if it's what you're supposed to be getting.

basically when it arrives you either pay and get it, or don't pay and it goes back. No checking it out first

(but maybe confirm that one because i could be wrong)

2 12" Type R's in a sealed box with a decent amp won't give you much more output than a 10" amplified bass tube that you can buy for $199 brand new.

So no.

Nope, you're correct on Puralator, the g/f works at an outlet, and that's the way it is. Well, it's these Type R's or a 10" Rockford P1S410 Sub In a Basswork box hooked up to a Kenwood KAC-8152D 1100W amp, which I can get loacally for an excellent price (My CD Player and 100 bucks) Any suggestions?
