Finished Install Pics
Pretty much done the full install in my 87 Acura Legend. First time working with vinyl and making kickpanels.
I'll post more pics including the build up later.
As far as equipment goes,
HU- Pioneer 720
Fronts - Boston Acoustic Pro 6.5x components
Front Amp - Diamond Audio D5 300.2
Sub Amp - MTX 500D (Soon to be matching Diamond 600.1
Sub - Boston Acoustic Pro 12
RCA's - Street Wire zero points
Only thing left is to make grills for the kicks and add a few LED's to the rear deck to illuminate the trunk.
Questions and comments welcomed.

Looks pretty good. I would suggest getting a quote on redoing the vinyl though. As that makes or breaks an install. I would say that it is breaking yours, especially since the rest looks so good. Oh and also you need to put a matching amp on the left, or barring that what about a painted plexi trim that hides the wiring and makes the MTX amp look bigger, to fill the hole.
Good work though

Thanks guys. As I stated above, the MTX is being used until I get the Diamond 600.1, which is the identical size to the 300.2 thus the big opening around the MTX. So yes, it will eventually be replaced..but first I have to fix the 300.2 as there is a problem with the power supply.
As far as getting the vinyl re-done, Im not going to go out and pay someone to do it. There are a few places I need to re-cement, but thats about it. The edge around the right kick came unglued, no big deal, the grill will hide that. The hardest part was the 'tunnel' effect around the sub. I stretched the living hell out of that vinyl and was using a crappy contact cement, it just needs a touchup.
I do this is as a hobby and along with that comes learning...vinyl is just another stepping stone. I've learned so much about wood working and fiberglass on this install that will only produce better results in the future. Im 18, tons of learning left to do.

If you are looking to adhear vinyl to anything, use a great product called helmaprine (hell-ma-preen). It is what I use on all my installs and it is by far one of the best adhesives on the planet. It usually comes in drums, so go to your local upolstery shop and ask for a litre or so. It rocks!! Although I have lost several brain cells from it
Peace out

Well it sounds great. Much appreciation to chev2 who helped me with the imaging of the kicks as well as every other question I had.
The kickpanels really do make a huge difference and is by far the best sounding system I've had.
