I've been on a FLAC campaign for the last few years now, trying to find a head unit capable of playing the files, as that is 99% of my near-2TB music collection on one of my home servers currently.......BUT HAVE GIVEN UP.
I have conceded to 320k MP3. The difference between good encoding jobs on 320k MP3 and FLAC is nearly identical to 99.999% of ears on the planet.
Also, with cheap storage available, I find alot of the time I say screw it to saving the 30% size and just hold WAV rips, which most USB decks will play anyways.
I bought a Kinwei FLAC deck and it was decent and I had big plans to run it into my BitOne as an AUX device, but simply gave up.
Too much hassle for little reward at the end of the day.
At 90km/h, how can you tell bitrates ?
