ford speakers

hey all....my G/F and I are looking to buy my father in law front speakers for his truck for his b-day. He has a 95 ford F-150. I looked it up on the metra chart at work, and it says it takes 6 1/2". I was thinking that it would posibly be 5x7 or 5 1/4. I have already found one mistake in the chart for ford trucks, so I wanted to make sure before I drive 1000 kms and find out they are wrong. The speakers that I found wrong on the chart was for the F250/350. It also says that they take a 6 1/2" speakers, but they accually fit a 5 1/4. 6 1/2 are easy enough to bump out with rings to fit, but I'm not sure if I'll have enough room, with the f-150.

sorry for the long post, and thanks for all the help

That year of Ford truck it depends on which speaker you want to put in it. Standard Pioneer/JVC/Kenwood/Sony etc 6.5s fit with no cutting but if you go to a 'larger frame' speaker like Infinity or Rockford then only a 5.25 fits without metal removal.
