Yes any sub can be used IB. No they won't all do it well or last long.

You need to post the T/S specs to at least get an indication of whether this woofer would be suitable.

Ya need to look at t/s params of the woofer.
But more or less any sub can be "made" to work IB. Some are better for it. Look for t/s specs and high Q driver.

Also keep in mind a free air sub will generally handle less power then in an enclosure.

I would say instead of looking for a High "Q" you should choose one that suits your taste. If you follow the butterworth crowed then look for a "Q" of .707.

FS is a bit higher than ideal.
VAS is somewhat lower than ideal.
Qts is ok depending on who you ask.

I would say yes... I've heard subs that were theoretically completely wrong work really well in IB. If you want any output tho I would use at least 2, and have a lot of power on tap. Yes, IB can lower power handling, but nothing is controlling the cone other than the amp. I went from 250wrms, to 500wrms, to 1400wrms on my MTX 7000's IB and it sounded better every time. You just need to be smart with the volume control.
