Well i just purchased a w7 from a member on the board here. The box it was in has the port 90 degrees off from the face of the sub. When using this CRX sort of style box where do people usually find aiming the port works best? I'm going to fool around with it all but just wondering what would be a good starting point.

Im in a 93 Civic sedan, 4 door. would up fire, and port to the rear be best? or rear fire and port to the side? is it best to keep the port near the edge of the car or near a wall as like rear firing the subs should usually be kept as far back as possible. Well just curious what u guys have experience with. thankkks!

Steve

Trying the box out would be best.. but I have a feeling rear firing with the port to the side will be best...

hehe I was just wondering if anyone had a good starting point. Nothings ganna be better then me trying it out myself anyways lol. It all comes tomorrow after school.

Today I threw it in quickly, rear firing almost near the back with the port to the side, but the port is about 2 feet from the side of the trunk. But I havn't been too impressed with it. Not very loud, but a very nice sounding woofer, I'm sure with a little moving around everything will work out

Well just to update, had a little time today after school to fool around and have so far found upfiring with the sub, and the port to the side, near the corner of the trunk to be loudest. havn't been able to try front firing yet, or up firing with port front, but this setup had better results then any rear firing i have tried so far.

Little more impressed with the sub after today
