I have a blown 5AG60A fuse that was in my fuse block. My sub amp was connected to it and it has 3 30A fuses so I was wondering if I could put in a 5AG90A fuse if one exists?

Personally I woulnt use anything bigger than a 50amp AGU. 60's seem to melt inside but they still look like they should work. 80's are worse. If you have that much current then go to a "waffer type" ANL fuse

I have the one power wire from the battery going to the trunk then two amps, only reason why I have a distribution block.

what caused it to blow was I didn't give the system much time to warm up

apparently 60A fuses are the largest ones sold for a http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/pro...d=&newdeptid=2

I think they should have 80's, but the reason behind them melting/going poo is more because of the build quality of the silly things. I don't recall ever having heat problems with AGU fuses, but that's probably because I pay $2+ per for a fuse I know isn't going to heat up on me.

But yeah, it's somewhat annoying to have a 60 amp AGU running a single power wire to an amp that has a 90 amp rating.
Maybe have 2 runs of fused power wire and fuse them at 40 or 50 each?
