futureguard

Hey guys,
I was in to futureshop the other day and one of the associates was telling me that if I bought my deck with my futurecard and had futureguard that if my deck got stolen that futureguard would replace it. He made it sound really simple and like they done it all the time... but i'm skeptical. Anyone know how this works or have any experience with it? The way he described it made it sound too easy... if it was that easy wouldn't people just buy decks and steal them themselves??

Yes you get the coverage for I believe 36 months (that's what it was when I was there). It's not a bad deal if you pay it off right away. It's 0 deductable, and doesn't pay depreciated, it replaces with the value of the original. The stores make big money (the store that originally signs you up gets credited for every futureguard purchase)It's just like any optional insurance, it sucks to pay if you never use it, but using it once can pay for it easily.
