So with a lil time playing it, the amp was heating up like crazy , and shut off once.. Being fed up, I went back to NUMBER 1 SOUND... I did some trial and error tests using my eD BIG 8 sub that I got today....wired the sub in 1ohm load, after 1 minute, the amp shut down !

GARBAGE !

I asked them to refund my money... No hassles later, I got my money back...I will never buy another audison amp to run subs...
Now my Zapco is being fixed..I will try it on my BIG 8 sub to see what it can do.

Also, what amp do you guys recommend to power my BIG 8 sub fully ? What impedance should I use ? The sub is dual 2 ohm.

I don't know of any Audison amps that are 1 ohm stable.

Try any of the Concept class D amps, how much power do you need? The new Concept amps are an aesthetic upgrade for sure, maybe a larger power supply as well. They have 4 models of class D amps available from 800 w rms @ 1 ohm - 2410 w rms @ 1 ohm. All amps have a 3 year warranty. These amps are designed and engineered to operate continuously at 1 ohm and do a great job at it.www.conceptconcept.com

Ya...that's what I have been told...

so whats out there on the market ? Besides JL , fosgate , alpine, etc etc...

The AG750 does 750 into 4ohms, man....considering it is 'probably' underrated, its doing the same power.

Buy a RF AB amp, a 1050s or x (the 2 channel) will smoke that 8. They sound a lot better than the RF d-classes, and Number 1 carries them...ask Joey to dig through the basement for ya, lol...

how big is the power wire in your car, and do you have a good ground..

i only ask because one amp is toast and this one seems to be having problems.. so maybe there is a bad connection somewhere along the lines???
