G'day from InCar

G'day fellow car audio enthusiasts,
I have just been made aware of this forum, so have joined in the hope of gaining an insight into the Canadian car audio industry in general.
Conversely, if you have any questions about the Australian car audio scene, industry or InCar magazine, please feel free post me a message.
Cheers,
John

heya John, welcome to the canadian forum, I think we represent a good cross-section of the canadian car audio scene, from old timers who are in it for fun, to kids and their little rice-rocket wannabees.
I hope you enjoy your stay here, and learn as much about us as we learn about you eh.
now sit back and relax with some Canadian beer and back bacon.

Thanks for the welcome guys.
I've noticed a few Canadians on CAA, who have indirectly led me to this forum. If you are interested in the scene down under, check out the forums of CAA at www.caraudioaustralia.com or ACAP at www.auscaraudio.com . Please note, that I have no affiliation with either of these sites.
And yes, Audison amplifiers are pretty popular among the SQ crowd in Australia, however, Audison is just one of many good brands available down under.
We also have the same cross-section in Australia. Old heads who have tried and experienced a lot over the decades, as well as enthusiastic noobs in ricers. It's the responsibility of the old head to help educate, disseminate information, and debunk myths, which I gather would be similar to the experience at CCA.
Anyway, thanks again and see you around the boards.

G'day guys,
The Clarion HX-D2 received an extensive "end-user POV" style of review in Autosalon magazine issue 22, which is pretty glowing in its conclusions of this new premium source unit. What's not to love about it! However, having said this, I think it best to leave it up to the readers to draw their own conclusions.
Try www.autosalon.org and click on the magazine link down the bottom right of the home page. In here you should be able to find details on how to obtain this issue. Send them an email an see how you go.
If it were in InCar magazine, I would happily post a copy, however, Autosalon and InCar are separate publications, and in some respects, competitors. So while I have a copy of this review in front of me right now, I cannot pass it on as it is not within my rights to do so.
However, this does not mean that you can't get in touch with them and see if you can obtain a copy for yourself. Best of luck.
Cheers,
John Soh
