get an amp for my speakers or not?
alright, so i got to thinking that maybe an amp is a good idea for me since my speakers cant go quite as loud as i had hoped they would running off of my deck. I went to the store where i bought my stuff (visions electronics) and they said that my speakers can actually handle more than my deck can put out and it is actually the deck causing the distortion in my sound at high volumes. He also told me that the speakers will sound better with an amp (so did a few of you here). It really doesnt need to go much louder than it already can, i just dont like the fact that i bought these speakers expecting them to go as loud as i would like them to but they start to sound bad just a bit below the volumes i would like.
however, visions didnt really have much for the $200 mark i was hoping for. Is it possible to get a good amp (to power all 4 speakers) for around $200?
He also said the wiring and stuff was about $80 unless the power cable for my amp powering the sub can be split, is this a good idea?
and how does $97 for install sound? or is it easy enough to do myself? i dont see myself having any problems running the wires and connecting them to their appropriate spots (im more of a computer guy and ive built a few of those in the past). I was just more worried about the tuning of the amp and speakers and stuff after its all connected.
anybody have any recommendations as to which amp to buy? (im not afraid to get it shipped from anywhere in Canada either, it doesnt need to be local if the price is right)

Good call getting the amp, alpine makes great amps, don't know if it was used or not but 90$ for isntallation sounds good, maybe 5 years ago an amp install was 70$.
You can try do do it yourself, it might be really easy especially if you power wire is already big enough, then you can do like they said and split it using a distribution block.
